St. Clair College, Windsor, established in 1967, is a branch of the Western Ontario Institute of Technology in Ontario, Canada. An overview of the St. Clair College

You can find St. Clair College campus in the counties of Essex and Chatham-Kent in Ontario. It is also a branch of the Western Ontario Institute of Technology. The Western Ontario Institute of Technology and the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology merged to form St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology.

The college has taught students for over 50 years and offers over 100 courses at various levels, including degrees, diplomas, and graduate certificates. Over 14,000 students are included in the St. Clair’s community focused on health, business and IT, media arts, social services, technology, and trades.

The college is committed to innovative research and has 13 faculty members involved in research projects, with 81 paid students working alongside them. St. Clair was recently named one of Canada’s top 50 research universities.

Modern facilities and numerous support services assist students in their academic journey. The college is constantly investing in its infrastructure, having spent over CAD 1.24 million on classroom technology, study areas, and subject labs since 2004. A further CAD 3.7 million has been invested in a student center expansion, providing additional study and social spaces.

St. Clair has produced several well-known individuals who have achieved business success. Regarded as the best college in the province of Ontario and has many renowned alums. Matt Boismier, an art director, graduated here in 2006.

St. Clair graduates are highly employable, with 87.5 percent finding work within six months of graduation. Students also stand out to employers, with 84% of employers satisfied with graduates’ skills and knowledge level.

History

The Western Ontario Institute of Technology was founded in 1958 to supplement the then-Ryerson Institute in Toronto, now Ryerson University. Established in 1966, St. Clair. With the establishment of the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology, the two institutions merged a year later. The college’s growth has generally paralleled that of Windsor. May 21, 1965, was the day of the Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology establishment. They teach applied arts and technology in the college. The establishment of the school in 1966 is part of a provincial initiative to build several such institutions to provide career-oriented diploma and certificate courses and continuing education programs to communities throughout Ontario.

In September 2017, St. Clair College celebrated its 50th anniversary.

• Windsor, Chatham, and Wallaceburg are the three main campuses of St. Clair College Windsor. Sportsplex is a sports complex built by the college. The college is growing and has become an essential part of the state of Ontario, contributing to its development.
