Fanshawe College | Introduction
Fanshawe Institution, formerly known as Ontario Vocational College (OVC), is a public college in London, Ontario, founded in 1962. The name Fanshawe is a combination of the terms ‘fane,’ which means edifice or temple, and ‘shaw,’ or ‘shawe,’ which means woodlands. Fanshawe also means “temple in the woods.” Fanshawe College’s first president was James A. Colvin. Peter Devlin, a retired Lieutenant General in the Canadian army.

Fanshawe College offers over 200 higher education programs and has four major campuses. The Fanshawe College campus in London is spread across 100 acres and has 23 buildings. Besides, The Norton Wolf School of Aviation Technology and the School of Transportation Technology and Apprenticeship are also located there. Fees for additional courses – overload fees | For excess course hours, students in “overload” status or enrolled in courses outside of their typical program load will be charged the standard hourly tuition cost established for part-time students. Payment for these hours is due immediately. |
