The vacancies are up for various posts. These include Carpenter (SK), Cook (Ordinary Grade, Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver, Fireman, Superintendent Store, Multitasking Staff, and Lower Division Clerk (LDC).

The IAF has around 197 vacancies for different posts.

  • Headquarters South Western Air Command

1. Educational qualifications for each post

Given the different number of vacancies available for Group C applicants, understanding the academic qualifications is critical to completing the application procedure.

So, look at these educational qualifications required for some of the available vacancies in the Indian Air Force Group C:

Lower Division Clerk (LDC) ● Have completed 12th or equivalent.
● Have an English language typing speed of 30 words per minute on a typewriter, and 35 words per minute on a computer.
Multitasking Staff (MTS) ● Minimum educational qualification of 10th-grade pass or equivalent. 
● Those hired in this position often shuffle the responsibilities of housekeeping staff, mess staff, vulcanizer, and laundrymen. 
Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (CMTD) ● Completed 10th standard or an equivalent grade. 
● Driving license for light and heavy motor vehicles and 1 year of driving experience.
Cook ● Completed 10th or equivalent grade. 
● Additionally, a diploma or certificate in catering and 1 year of experience in the field is essential. 
Painter ● 10th or equivalent grade pass certificate. 
● Documents showcasing at least a year of experience in the trade.

2. Age limit for Group C

Next on the list is the age limit to appear for the Group C examination.

The Indian Air Force recruitment process 2021 (Group C) has a specific age limit for the 3 different categories of applicants. The minimum age limit for Group C applicants is 18 years, and the upper age limit is 25 years. 

The age limits for the following categories are: 

  • Other Backward Classes – Applicants belonging to the OBC category enjoy a relaxation of the upper age limit by 3 years. Therefore, applications in this category within the age group of 18 to 28 years qualify for Group C posts. 
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Disability – Applications from the SC/ST and PwD groups receive an upper age limit relaxation of 10 years compared to the other categories. Therefore, applications from these groups within the age bracket of 18 to 35 years are considered for the posts.

3. Documents required

Remember, you have to fill the IAF application form offline.
