Last Date to Apply for Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship 2025
The last date to apply for the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship 2025 is 14th October. The Ministry of Education will pull the curtains on application submissions on 15th October.
However, the scholarship’s ambit will only cover the expenses of a one-year taught Master’s programme. MBA degrees have been kept outside of the purview of Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship 2025.
The Commonwealth Masters’ Scholarship website has issued an update that the scholarship aspirants shall get a revert on their applications by July 2025. In the process of applications’ review, they will be contacted through email and have been requested to make sure to double-check all their email folders, which also include junk mail and spam folders. It has also issued a caveat that the scholarship awardee’s claim for the scholarship will be revoked if a candidate fails to respond to the email within the stipulated time.
Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship to Studying in the UK

- Candidates who are citizens of India and permanent residents of the country can only forward their applications for this scholarship.
- Scholarship beneficiaries must be prepared to begin their studies in the UK by September/October 2025.
- There is also a minimum score limit for availing of the scholarship. Scholarship applicants must have garnered a score not below 60% in their undergraduate degree by September 2025.
- The candidate must be able to show the financial exigency that necessitates this scholarship. In simpler terms, scholars shall not be able to afford to study in the UK without a scholarship.
- Candidates must furnish all supporting documents in the outlined format.
- Candidates shall also be able to procure an admission offer from a UK university listed on the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission’s website by October 31, 2024.
Benefits Of Applying For The Commonwealth Scholarship:
Below are the benefits outlined under the scholarship:
- Airfare Cost will be Reimbursed: The Scholarship will cover airfare expenses from the home country to the UK and visa-versa towards the scholarship’s end. However, the same shall not be applicable to the airfare cost for dependants or the cost of journeys that were taken before the scholarship award is given.
- Tuition fee Will be taken Care Of: The Scholarship makes no bones about covering the total cost by agreement between the CSC and the UK university to which the awardee gets admission.
- Living Stipend Will be Given on a Monthly Basis: The Scholarship will also assign a monthly living allowance at the rate of £1,378 per month, or £1,690 per month for those at universities in the London metropolitan area.
Subsidiary Benefits of the Commonwealth Scholarship
- Scholarship awardees will be provided with a warm clothing allowance.
- Scholarship beneficiaries will be able to procure a study travel grant towards the cost of study-related travel within the UK or overseas.
- If the person has children and is widowed, divorced, or a single parent, the scholarship will grant a child allowance of £590 per month for the first child. A sum of £146 per month will be provided for the second and third child under the age of 16 if their children are living with them at the same address in the UK.
- Candidates claiming disability will be addressed in detail. The Scholarship will provide additional financial support will be offered by the CSC.
