About Seneca College
Founded in 1967, Seneca College is a public educational institution in Toronto. Seneca College grew from its humble beginnings of holding classes at various locations such as a Woolworth store and a renovated factory to multiple campuses that house more than 30,000 full-time students. Seneca College | A brief overview
Seneca College of today was a long time in the making.
When the College first opened in 1967, it held its classes in a variety of locations. Seneca’s first permanent location on Finch Avenue East at Highway 404 opened in 1968.
Seneca Applied Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (ARIE) provides all the necessary support for Seneca’s applied research, innovation, and entrepreneurship activities. It supports the innovation economy and the well-being of the community by providing practical solutions to real-world problems.
Seneca offers employers a variety of on-campus opportunities to meet, prospect, interview, or hire qualified job-ready students and graduates who are a part of one of Canada’s most recognized colleges with large student populations.
The Student Conduct Office was established to support the Student Code of Conduct’s stated values of honesty, integrity, and mutual respect for safety, security, and personal dignity. It also serves as a dispute resolution service for students who have exhausted all other options for resolving a complaint or concern.
Seneca’s campuses span across the Greater Toronto Area, each with its own academic specialties and appeal. A campus tour is an excellent way to get to know Seneca, whether on your own or in a small group. Campus tours are available all year.
