Everyone wants scholarships for studying abroad and yet, very few know how to find scholarships or even apply for them. If you want to look for scholarships, option number 1 should be universities. While the university tuition fees are almost always high, most universities also offer a number of scholarships for domestic as well as international students. Your option number 2 can be the study abroad scholarships offered by governments and private organizations.
All scholarships offered can provide full tuition fee coverage, partial fee coverage, or a certain a fixed amount. Depending upon your profile, scores, and eligibility, you can apply to multiple relevant scholarships and hope for the best. So without further ado, here’s a list of 30 best study abroad scholarships:
1) Erasmus Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: Full scholarship
- Eligibility: Scholarship students must have already obtained a first higher education degree or demonstrate a recognized equivalent level of learning according to national rules and legislation in place by the application deadline.
- Deadline: 13/02/2020
- Degree: Masters/PhD
2) Chevening Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: Full scholarship
- Eligibility: Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country; Be eligible for a post-graduate program at a UK university; Have at least two years’ work experience
- Deadline: 5th November (annual)
- Degree: Masters
3) Endeavor Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: Tuition fees up to AU$13,000 per calendar year; Stipend up to AU$3,000 per month
- Eligibility: Not be undertaking their Leadership Activity in a country where they hold citizenship/dual citizenship or permanent residency; Be aged 18 years or over at the commencement of their Leadership Activity; Not be in receipt of any other Australian Government sponsored mobility, scholarship or fellowship benefits
- Deadline: 15 November (annual)
- Degree: Diploma/Assoc. Degree
4) Full Bright Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: Full/ Partial/ $20000/ $20000 – $50000/annum
- Eligibility: Equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university with at least 55% marks, at least three years’ full-time (paid) professional work experience, experience in leadership and community service, you should not have another degree from a U.S. university or be enrolled in a U.S. degree program.
- Deadline: 15/5/2020
- Degree: Masters
5) UNESCO Scholarship (UNESCO/ISEDC Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme)x
- Grant amount/type: Full scholarship
- Eligibility: Applicants from invited developing countries and countries in transition must have at least a BSc degree or BA in Economics, who are no more than 35 years old. They have to be proficient in the English language.
- Deadline: 3 April ( annual )
- Degree: Training Degree
6) Gates Millennium Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: Full scholarship
- Eligibility: Must be from African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American and Hispanic American students with high academic and leadership promise who have significant financial need
- Deadline: 15th July (annual)
- Degree: Graduate
7) Generation Google Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: 10,000 USD
- Eligibility: A high school degree or equivalent; Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at an accredited university in the United States or Canada for the 2020-2021 academic year; Be studying computer science-related technical fields; Demonstrate a strong academic record; Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology.

8) Coca Cola Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: $20,000
- Eligibility: Should be done with their high school/undergrad

- Grant amount/type: $20,000
- Eligibility: Should be done with their high school
- Deadline: March 08, 2021

10) Eiffel Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: Masters – monthly allowance of ⚬1,181; PhD – monthly allowance of ⚬1,400
- Eligibility: Should be a candidate of non-French nationality; Age for Masters : 30 years, PhD : 35 years
- Deadline: 9 Jan (annual)
- Degree: Masters/PhD Degree
11) DAAD Scholarship
- Grant amount/type: 850 euros for graduates or 1,200 euros for doctoral candidates
- Eligibility: Holds a Bachelor’s degree; Has completed an academic degree with far above average results ideally at least 2 years of related professional experience; To study German courses: Minimum German language level of B1 at the time of application is a requirement; To study English courses: IELTS or TOEFL certificate.

- Eligibility: Both the district or club in the country where the activity is carried out and the international partner district or club must first become qualified before applying for a global grant.

- Grant amount/type: Stipend of $16,000
- Eligibility: Description of his/her Christian faith, and evidence of its strength and maturity; Demonstrated expertise within the discipline/field

14) Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation
- Grant amount/type: Rs. 20 lakhs INR
- Eligibility: Indian citizen; Completed Graduation from recognized Indian university/institute; Have consistently high academic record; Have been accepted into the top ranking educational institutions to pursue postgraduate studies from Fall 2020; Be below 30 years of age.

15) National Overseas Scholarship Scheme by the Indian government
- Grant amount/type: $15,400
- Eligibility: Below 35 (Thirty-Five) years and must be done with their undergrad
- Deadline: 27th May

- Eligibility: International applicants have to prove their proficiency in German. Good or very good knowledge of the German language is required (at least B2 Level or DSH2).

- Grant amount/type: 3-6 lakhs INR per student
- Eligibility: Indian women graduate from a recognized university; Have a consistently remarkable academic record; Must have applied for admission / secured admission to reputed accredited universities or institutions in the United States, UK, or Europe for the year 2020-2021; Work experience of a minimum of 2 years preferred
- Deadline: March 27

21) Aga Khan foundation program
- Grant amount/type: 50% grant; 50% loan
- Eligibility: The Foundation accepts applications from nationals of the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, and Mozambique. Should be under 30 yrs of age.

- Eligibility: Should be Indian citizens, residents and pursuing their academic careers in India. They must have a doctorate and be under 45.

- Grant amount/type: #2,000
- Eligibility: Indian nationality; a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent is required with all elements passed at 6.0 or above

Well, there you have it, folks!
