The University of Regina has a long history that dates back more than a century. It began as a private high school in 1911. Announced as an independent entity in 1974. 16,500 people attend the university. In more than 15 fields, including business administration, social work, health, engineering, media, etc., the institution provides around 120 UG programs and 78 PG degrees.

More than 120 undergraduate and 78 graduate degrees, including many specialized ones like Police Studies and Public Policy, are available at the University. The Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree, a newly established nursing program provided in partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, began accepting applications in the fall of 2011. (SCBScN). With regional cohort intakes in Swift Current and North Battleford, this degree is available at campuses in Regina and Saskatoon.

It has several partnerships with police services in the province and beyond because it was the first institution in Canada to provide a bachelor’s degree in police studies. In addition, it offers several multidisciplinary degree programs, such as the program in creative technologies. This program strives to bring together artists, scientists, and cultural theorists by providing engineering, computer science, and fine arts courses.

Acceptance rates at the University of Regina range from 80 to 90 percent. Each year, the number of overseas applications increases. With 16,664 full-time and part-time students, the university’s enrolment grew for the 12th year in 2020, marking a 1% increase overall. A student is reasonably likely to be admitted as long as they fulfill both the general entrance standards and the program-specific requirements. A student will also have an advantage over the competition if they have a tremendous academic record and competitive test results. Since admissions are granted on a first-come, first-served basis, the university also recommends prospective international students submit their applications as early as possible.
