Founded in 1991, their campus is one of four regional campuses operated by La Trobe University. The campus shared some facilities with Wodonga TAFE in the early years, including the library, which is still shared today. The campus is like standing support around research. La Trobe Albury-Wodonga is home to two University Research Centers- the Centre for Freshwater Ecosystems and the John Richards Centre for Rural Aging Research.
