AAUW International Fellowships in the U.S.A. for Women
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) awards International Fellowships to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents for full-time study or research in the U.S. Graduate and postgraduate studies at accredited universities are supported. In the 2018-19 academic year, AAUW, one of the world’s largest sources of funding for graduate women, will award $3.9 million in fellowships and grants to 250 outstanding women and nonprofit organizations. - For an International Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have citizenship in a country other than the United States, or have a nonimmigrant visa if residing in the United States. Women currently or expect to be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or dual citizens of the United States and another country are not eligible.
- Have an academic degree (earned in the United States or abroad) equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in the United States completed by November 15, 2022.
- Intend to devote herself full-time to the proposed academic plan during the fellowship year
- Be fluent in English and submit a valid TOEFL or IELTS score (TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test): 79; TOEFL Essentials: 8.5; Revised TOEFL Paper-Delivered Test: 60; IELTS: 6.5).
- Master’s/first professional degree and doctoral applicants must have applied to an accredited study institution for the fellowship year by November 15, 2022. They must include the name of the institution in the International Fellowship application.

Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund for Women
The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) provides grants to women from low- and middle-income countries to help them further their education and develop the professional and leadership skills needed to improve women’s and children’s lives. The MMMF currently manages education grant programs in three regions: the United States/Canada, South Africa, and Latin America. The MMMF grant only covers a portion of the total costs for the academic year.

- After receiving the MMEG grant and must plan to enroll for one entire academic semester (half-year term).
- Plan to graduate within two and a half years of receiving the MMEG grant;

P.E.O. International Peace Scholarships for Women
The International Peace Scholarship Fund is a program that awards scholarships to women from other countries to pursue graduate studies in the United States and Canada. Based on need, the maximum scholarship amount for one (1) year of study is $12,500, and smaller sums may be awarded based on individual needs.

A recipient in graduate school is eligible to apply for one (1) scholarship renewal. She is only suitable for scholarship assistance for two (2) years.

International Peace Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to women from countries other than the United States and Canada pursuing higher studies at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada, with the expectation that students will return to their home countries to use their education to make a positive impact and foster global peace.
- To be eligible for her scholarship, an applicant must have completed a full year of coursework, be enrolled, and be in residence for the entire school year.
- Doctoral students who have completed coursework but are only working on dissertations are ineligible to apply for the first time.
- Scholarships are available to international students attending Cottey College.
- A student who is a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident is not eligible. It should be noted that a student with only tax residency is permitted.
