Ranked 29th by QS World rankings, the University of Toronto or U of T is Canada’s highest-ranked institution on the list. Founded by royal charter in 1827 as King’s College, it’s also one of Canada’s oldest institutions. The institution has educated three Governors, four Prime Ministers, and fourteen Justices of the Supreme Court in the past. 1) How to apply to University of Toronto

Before you begin your journey at the University of Toronto, you need to first decide the program you want to opt for. You can do that by clicking here. Look up the admission requirements for your respective program and see if you meet the requirements.

If you’re an international student, these programs also have a language test requirement. If English is not your first language, you may need to provide some evidence of English proficiency. Although U of T offers a wide range of scholarships, you need to see which one you are eligible for. Candidates usually receive an email one week after submitting an application online. Once you receive the email, you need to submit the required documentation.

Being one of the top destinations to study in Canada, the University of Toronto expects great academic profiles and a collection of different English proficiency scores. The minimum requirement for the IELTS Academic Module is an overall band of 6.5 with no band below 6.0. The minimum scores for TOEFL’s Internet-Based Test are 100/120 with at least 22/30 in the writing section.

5) University of Toronto graduate programs

To get into the Graduate programs at U of T, a candidate needs a minimum score of 570/800 on the GMAT but a competitive score is higher than 600/800. An engineering graduate considering a post-graduate program needs to have a GRE score of 309 out of 340.

The University offers secondary entry programs in Education, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Law, and Medicine. The institution also offers over 175 research and professional Master’s and Doctoral programs in more than 80 departments.

  1. It is all well and Good but as a Black African student I can. Sense a sweep way in terms of GPA requirements and grade matters because from my perspective as a graduate of the University of Ghana with a major in Sociology and Information Studies.

    Since the year 2000 the university of Toronto id quite hard to get into due to initial Course Requirements and the difference between the Commonwealth system and the Canadian University system.

      Being the most well-known university in Canada, the University of Toronto is bound to have demanding course requirements.
