In December 2018, Nigeria and 58 other countries co-authored a resolution in the United Nations General Assembly, forging International Education Day.This resolution, which designates January 24 as a day of global education focus, seeks to develop peaceful and resilient societies through education. The UN’s ratification of this resolution demonstrates the collective political will to reform education into an inclusive and equitable system.

Significance of International Education Day
