National Means cum Merit Scholarship

A student can earn up to twelve thousand rupees per year. Every year, applications are accepted between August and October. A student must submit an online application through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

Who will benefit from this– At least 55% in the 8th grade is required. It is also necessary to take the selection test for this. A minimum of 55% in 7th grade is obligatory to take the selection test. Furthermore, the annual family income should not exceed Rs 3,50,000 per year.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSSS)

This scholarship is only available to college and university students. Meritorious students with economic disadvantages are eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarships range from 10,000 to 20,000 rupees per year under this program. Every year, between August and October, applications are accepted for this scholarship. The application must be submitted online via the National Scholarship Portal.

Who will benefit (eligibility)– Students with an 80 percentile or higher in their 12th grade, who are enrolled in a full-time course, and whose household income does not surpass Rs 8 lakh per year.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship

The scholarships offered by the Indian Government is only available to female students. It is limited to two girls per family. The government awards 4000 such scholarships each year. The beneficiary also receives 30,000 rupees and various other benefits annually under this program.

Every year, applications are accepted from September to October. The National Scholarship Portal must be used to apply online.

Who will benefit from this- Students in their first or second year of a technical degree or diploma program. Those admitted to that course via lateral entry based on 12th grade will benefit from this. A family’s annual income should be less than or equal to Rs 8 lakh.

Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF)

The Prime Minister Research Fellowship is awarded to students to promote the research trend. This means that the PMRF program is for PhD-level research in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Medicine. Furthermore, it is a collaborative effort between the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Students enrolled in Ph.D. programs at a PMRF-eligible institute benefit from this. The PMRF scheme offers Ph.D. students scholarships of up to INR 10.92 lakhs per year, with the government also providing 50% and a sponsoring industry providing the remaining 50% for four years.

AICTE Saksham Scholarship

This scholarship program encourages technical education, particularly among specially-abled students who are talented. Additionally, this benefit is available to highly qualified students pursuing a technical degree or diploma program. Every beneficiary receives a scholarship of 50,000 rupees and other benefits under this program. Applications are accepted between September and October. Online applications can be submitted via the National Scholarship Portal.

Eligibility for AICTE Saksham Scholarship– Students who are at least 40% disabled are admitted in the first year of a degree or diploma course at an AICTE-affiliated institute through lateral entry. The student’s family income must be less than Rs 8 lakh annually.
