      Hey Pranay,
This is arguably one of the most important factors to keep in mind- how much money are you carrying? Set up a FOREX account and start loading the FOREX cards at least two weeks before your departure. Also, carry emergency money with you in the currency of the country you are going to.

      Hey Pranay,
Gird up and start searching all the information regarding your flight and its expenses at least 5-6 months before your flight is due in order to travel smart.

One of the most important travel tips for students is that it’s economical to book tickets on Tuesday or Wednesday. The best time to buy a cheap ticket is described to be around 3 to 5 O clock in the morning. Also, if your flight involves a transfer, such as Canada to LA, it is always wise to take these transfer flights separately to avoid accommodation problems and hours-long wait.

      Hey Shivani,
‘Bonafide’ means ‘in good faith,’ which implies that something is ‘real,’ or ‘genuine.’ Hence, a bonafide certificate serves as a strong and valid proof of your identity at a university or a workplace.

An institution usually issues these certificates for students, stating their class, course, and the duration of their attendance. It is a necessary document when you apply to a college or for a new position at a workplace. You may even require this certificate when applying for an education loan and a visa.

      Hey Shivani,
A Letter of Recommendation (LOR) is a way for a university to evaluate your personality using a third person’s perspective.

A third-party opinion matters- An academic LOR would include your professors’ views about you. The way they talk about your abilities as a student is an essential factor for universities to consider. Similarly, a professional LOR would tell universities about your strengths and weaknesses in a professional capacity. Your employer’s views might help the university make the right decision about your admissions. A document that validates your experience- A great LOR helps you validate your experience and skills. Not only this, the document can talk about your achievements in the professional and academic field, the projects you’ve worked on, and more. This is why you should do some research before choosing a recommender to write the LOR.

      Hey Devki!

MBBS in Canada is a 3-year full-time course, which is a 3-4 year MD (Doctor of Medicine) program. Even though it is an undergraduate program, overseas students must have a bachelor’s to secure admission to the MD program. In case a student with a non-science background wants to apply to medical schools, the course will take five years to complete. This is because students need to study for the first year to bridge the educational gap.

      Hey Devki!

The average SAT score composite that you are expected to achieve is 1440, on the 1600 scale. This is a score that classifies NYU among the ‘strongly competitive’ universities for SAT scores. Scoring close to the 75th percentile and above can easily grant you admission to the next round of the selection process.

These are the scores that you will be expected to achieve in the SAT exam –

      Section – Math
      Average – 740
      75th Percentile – 790

      Section – Reading + Writing
      Average – 700
      75th Percentile – 740

      Section – Composite
      Average – 1440
      75th Percentile – 1510

When learning how to get admission in NYU, the Score Choice policy is an important aspect to consider.

NYU has a Score Choice policy of ‘Contact School’. This means that the school encourages you to contact them directly to learn more about their Score Choice policies. For the ACT exam, you will be expected to score an average of 32, with the 75th percentile ACT score being 34.
