      Hey Tara!

A good GMAT score helps you obtain admission to one of the top B-schools globally. According to experts, a score anywhere between 670 to 700 is considered good. But if you aspire to enter one of the Ivy League colleges, you need to aim higher.

A good GMAT score also depends on the competitiveness of the program you are planning to pursue. Consider these four factors to determine whether your GMAT score is good-

      Previous batch’s average GMAT score.
The GMAT score required for obtaining a scholarship.
The estimated ROI on the basis of the GMAT score.
Class profile of the previous year.
Anything above 700 is considered a great GMAT score, and your choice of MBA college should drive you to achieve that.

      Hey Manas!

It completely depends on which sections you need to focus on. If you find a specific section of the test more challenging than the rest, it would be wise to invest in a book that specializes in that section. However, if you don’t have such a weak point, you can get a comprehensive book that includes the concepts covered under all the sections of the test.

      Hey Mani!

There are several universities offering undergraduate and postgraduate in mechanical engineering. Most undergraduate courses are divided into 6 semesters, and have a number of semester-specific subjects that students need to undertake. In addition to the regular subjects, you can choose from a variety of electives to acquire the knowledge and skills you need to master this field. The subjects taught in mechanical engineering courses have several applications in a number of industries. These include robotics, nanotechnology, and health.

Both the universities offer scholarships, however, Northwestern University only offers need-based scholarships to the students who are in need of financial assistance.

You can apply to both universities. You can get merit-based scholarships at Northeastern University.

The cut-off varies from university to university. I'd advise you to decide upon the course and the university you want to target and look at their GMAT score cut-off.
Some top universities accept a score range of 610 to 780. These include:

University of Chicago London Business School University of Cambridge Northwestern University
Some universities have a cut-off range of 600-700. These include: McGill University University of Toronto

Make sure you prepare for your GMAT exam well to get a good GMAT score. You can also read about the GMAT exam here: All about the GMAT exam.

You can take GMAT more than once and it won't affect your chances of getting admission to a great university.

If need be, you can take help from professionals for your test prep too!

      All the best!

Hi, Congratulations on getting the admit from these universities.

Now, to select what's best for you, look at some criteria and see what factors are important to you.
      Some factors may include:
Course fee: If you have a budget in mind, this factor might be important for you. Look at the course fee and decide what fits you the best.
Curriculum- Does the course curriculum match with what you want to study?
Opportunities: Research about what opportunities you will get in these universities. This might help you make an informed decision.
You can also refer to this blog for a detailed roadmap about how to choose a university.
