The University of British Columbia, commonly known as UBC for short, is one such university that was established way back in 1878. The first campus opened up in Vancouver and has since developed into an internationally recognized institution, with both its graduate school programs being ranked among the top three percent across North America by Times Higher Education Rankings 2018. The rankings for UBC are-

1. The University of British Columbia ranks "#2" in "Best Universities in Canada" and "#31" in "Best in Global Universities" by "U.S. News & World Report.
2. The University of British Columbia is ranked "#45" in "Top Universities" by "QS World University Rankings."
3. UBC ranks "#34" in "World University Ranking 2022" by "Times Higher Education."
