In the US & Canada, medical school is a graduate school program. The University of Manitoba is one of Western Canada's oldest medical-doctoral research universities. The University of Manitoba Rady Faculty of Health Sciences is one of 17 medical schools in Canada and the first medical school in the prairie provinces. In 2021, the UofM medical school acceptance rate was 12.5%.
