I want to apply for an MBA, which exam should I give GMAT or GRE?
-
Both GRE and GMAT are entrance exams for postgraduate programs but they mostly serve different purposes. GRE is mostly required for science and engineering programs whereas GMAT is for MBA or management programs. However, these days if you want to apply for an MBA, most universities accept both GRE and GMAT exams as entry requirements. However, since GMAT is the primary exam for management courses, the GRE score is then converted to the GMAT score during admission. This means that if you've directly given your GMAT, the chances of you getting a better score are higher. The fees for GMAT exam is US $250 and that for GRE is US$ 205. It is ideal to book the exam date 1-2 months prior. It has 4 sections Analytical Writing, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Section, Verbal Reasoning.
