    • RE: Funds for PhD programs

Hey Amandeep, PhD programs are usually at least partially funded if not entirely. Most universities cover tuition costs, living costs or simply the costs for textbooks and research materials. However, generally most colleges abroad do fund your research programs completely. It is a general norm for universities to either accept an application with grants or otherwise outright deny the application. The reason for that being that most PhD students are discouraged from engaging in external employment or at least reduce their working time, especially in the USA and Canada. With the money you are provided, you should easily be able to buy a car and rent a house, but don't expect to do anything extravagant with money provided.

    • RE: Could someone help me with figuring out the colleges that i could get ?

      Hey Amandeep,
generally top universities in USA such as MIT, Stanford, Columbia University, etc. require a minimum TOEFL score of 100 for you to get selected. That being said, having a strong profile(with good work experience, overall good scores, SOP, etc.) could definitely help you get in if you've got a lower score than that.

    • RE: Good TOEFL score

@Aarti-rana There is no such thing as a good TOEFL score. Students must obtain scores that are equal to or greater than the established grade for each university's TOEFL cut-off. Candidates should be aware that getting a better TOEFL score would automatically improve their chances of getting into the institution and also put them in the lead for any scholarships the university may be offering.

A Professional LOR talks about your work ethic and performance as an employee
This letter is usually given by your team leader, manager, senior manager, and if you are an entrepreneur, your mentor or a co-founder

      Here, you can highlight-

      1. The kind of projects you’ve worked on
      2. Any awards you’ve won
      3. The CSR initiatives you participated in, or
      4. Any other achievements from your workplace

    • RE: What are some of the cheapest countries to study abroad for Indian students?

Update from my end- Higher education in Denmark is free for students who are from EU/EEA or Switzerland!
But if you're from somewhere else, you would have to pay tuition of anywhere between 6000 and 16,000 euros per annum.

      Here's my personal tip-
Write the entire essay first. Don’t listen to the critical side of your brain just now. Once you’ve finished your first draft, you can always come back and edit.

      I second Kathleen
What sets Canada further apart is the way it welcomes international students.
Not only is Canada culturally diverse, but it also very friendly and open-minded.
You will see students from all over the world, including India, China, France, and South Korea, studying in Canada.
