GMAT Exam 2022: Fees, Registration, Syllabus, Results & Scores

Updated on Sep 6, 2022

There are two routes to opting for a GMAT exam, self-study and opting for private tuition. To prepare on their own, you can take practice tests before the practice exam, up to four or more every week.

Increasing one's GMAT score requires dedicated work, and merely taking more tests will not help pupils enhance their material comprehension.

If time allows, you can take more mock tests before the actual GMAT exams. Between two mock tests, you should wait at least three days. After the mock exams have shown the numerous loopholes in your preparation, you must attempt to work on those gaps before taking the next practice examination. To show incremental improvement from past mock test results, you should not make the same mistakes in the following papers. These fake tests should be full-length mock exams from a reputable source so that you may gain insights into your progress.

There are several official and unofficial GMAT sample papers available to assist you in your preparation for the exam. Every two or three weeks, you might take a practice exam to track your progress toward your goal scores.

The finest GMAT practice test comes from the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). On the GMAT Prep Software, there are two free practice exams that you may take as many times as you want. However, retaking the exam may reveal a few repeated questions too. Hence this will allow initial attempts to genuinely give an impression of a true exam experience. GMAC also offers a handful of packages that include two or four more practice exams.

While no unofficial GMAT practice test will ever compare to an official one in terms of credibility, some do include high-quality practice questions, a format that is almost identical to the GMAT, and realistic visuals that are similar to what you'll experience on test day.

The following is the patterns in which you may find the practice test -

  1. Verbal Reasoning – 36 questions
  2. Quantitative Reasoning – 31 questions
  3. Integrated Reasoning – 12 questions
  4. Analytical Writing – 1 essay prompt

2 The goal of a GMAT practice test

GMAT practice test can assist you in identifying flaws and improving your overall score. Instead of becoming disheartened by practice exams consider them an opportunity to grow.

Take your GMAT practice test at the same time you'll be taking the actual test. You want to mimic the real exam scenario since your thoughts will be in a different place.

Knowing your strengths and limitations is a vital part of exam pace. You'll probably breeze through the areas that are focused on your strengths, but you'll struggle with the others. You may devote more test-taking time to the areas of the exam you know you can ace if you identify your shortcomings throughout your GMAT preparation.

Reviewing the test can help you improve your knowledge and pace, which will ideally result in a higher GMAT score. These findings will assist you in gaining a better understanding of your strengths and shortcomings.
