1 TOEFL Exam Eligibility Criteria

To begin, you should be aware that anyone can take the TOEFL test. To take the TOEFL there are no specific eligibility criteria prescribed by the ETS.  If you are a high school student or studying at a higher level, you can take this test to obtain your TOEFL score.

The test evaluates your capacity to communicate in English so that you can study and work in another country. Both national and international institutions recognize the TOEFL score.

A. The ETS, the organization that administers the TOEFL exam, has not established any precise eligibility criteria for the exam. It is primarily offered to candidates who aspire to enroll in English-speaking universities, colleges, or educational institutions.

Q. Is there a maximum age limit for taking the TOEFL exam?

A: No, the ETS has not established an age limit for students taking the TOEFL test.

Q. How much does it cost Indians to register for the TOEFL test?

A. Candidates from India must pay the US $190 for the TOEFL iBT test while registering for the test. Special requests, such as late registrations and date changes, will nevertheless incur additional charges.

Q. Is there a discount for students on the TOEFL fee?

A. There are no discounts.

Q. Can students take the TOEFL test after graduating from high school (10+2)?

A. As previously stated, ETS does not have any eligibility requirements for taking the TOEFL exam. Candidates must, however, take the TOEFL test if English-speaking universities, colleges, or educational institutions require TOEFL scores as part of their entrance criteria.

A. The TOEFL test can be taken as many times as the candidate desires, but a re-test must be taken within three days of the initial attempt.
