      Hey Shruti!

Scholarships and other grants at Yale University are often referred to as gift aid because they do not need to be repaid. Such gift aid falls into one of three categories in the Yale financial aid award:

      Yale Scholarship
      merit-based scholarships
      entitlement grants

U.S. veterans and service members may also choose to use their military education benefits at Yale.

      Hey Shruti!
There are many different types of scholarships for studying abroad. Let’s take a look at each of them:

Merit-based: This kind of scholarship is based on the student’s academic, athletic or artistic abilities, among others. These qualities are featured as extracurricular activities and they can vary depending on the scholarship. Country of origin-specific: These scholarships are awarded to students who plan to attend a study abroad program in a specific country. They’re awarded based on motivation to study in that country and you have to check with government-sponsored education websites or student bodies to find which ones are available. Special backgrounds: These scholarships are awarded on the basis of race, religion, gender, and medical history. The objective of this kind of scholarship is to promote equality and the most common awards are minority scholarships. Subject-based: These scholarships are awarded by government institutions or colleges based on a student’s particular major or field of study. They require the applicant to enroll in subject-specific courses while they’re abroad, and eligibility can vary greatly. Program-specific: This kind of scholarship is awarded based on personal and academic achievements and they’re offered by colleges and universities. Eligibility and qualifications may vary according to the scholarship.

      Hey Shruti!
Here are a few tips on how to prepare for the TOEFL speaking test:

An excellent way to go ahead with this exercise is to write down some mundane topics on chits of paper and put them inside a bowl. At random, pick one up, give yourself 20 seconds to think, and then try to talk about it for a minute.
In the beginning, you can go easy on yourself and deal with topics like “Family,” “Food,” “Education,” etc. Gradually, you can take suggestions from TOEFL Speaking practice test and add them to your roster.

Read about all these points in detail here: TOEFL Speaking | 4 easy steps to excel in this exam

There is no one right answer to this question. The bank you choose will depend on your personal financial situation. But let’s look at the options you have-

Public banks: Public Sector Banks or PSB’s, like SBI, offer low-interest rates. Apply for a loan here at least 20-25 days in advance. Private banks: The good thing about private banks like HDFC and Axis is that they offer higher amounts of loans than PSB’s for unsecured loans. NBFC’s: NBFC’s are a great option if you want to get an unsecured loan in a very short period of time.

You can read all about getting an education loan here: Education loan for abroad studies
